Sabrina Bosshard (CH/GER)

is a costume designer for theater, film and performance art.

She studied fine arts at the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design Genève and fashion design at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee and was an intern in the team of fashion designer Bernhard Willhelm in Paris and at the label Pelican Avenue in Antwerp. This was followed by work as a costume assistant at the Staatsoper Berlin, Theater Basel, Schauspielhaus Zurich and Théâtre de Vidy Lausanne / MC93 Paris.

Since then she has been working as a freelance costume designer. Her work has taken her to the Schauspielhaus Zürich, Schauspielhaus Wien, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Staatstheater Mainz and Staatstheater Nürnberg, among others. With the production “Übergewicht: unwichtig, Unform”, directed by Rieke Süßkow, she was invited to the 2024 Berliner Theatertreffen. She also designed the costumes for several films, for a mini-series and the feature film “Youth Topia”.

In 2024 she has been awarded Costume Designer of the Year by German magazin Theater heute for her designs of “Übergewicht: unwichtig, Unform”.
