Polly Stephan (D)

Polly Stephan was born in Berlin in 1999 and grew up there. Since 2019, she has been studying stage and film design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna under Univ.-Prof. Mag. art. Bernhard Kleber.

Alongside her studies, she has worked as an assistant at the Munich Volkstheater on productions by Lucia Bihler and Christina Tscharyiski, as well as at the Landestheater Niederösterreich.

She collaborated on the film *How to Be Normal and the Oddness of the Other World* (2025) by Florian Pochlatko, which premiered at the 2025 Berlinale, as well as on *Bluish* by Milena Czernovsky and Lilith Kraxner, screened at the 2024 Viennale.

Since then, she has worked as a set and costume designer in Budapest and across the German-speaking world, including at the Schauspiel Köln, the Landestheater Tübingen, the Staatstheater Hannover and the Wuppertaler Bühnen, in collaboration with the directors Fritzi Wartenberg and Hannah Frauenrath. During the 2026/27 season, she will be working at the Luzerner Theater and the Berliner Ensemble.
