Atina Tabé (GER/CH)

She was born in Tehran and grew up in Berlin-Neukölln. She studied communication design and later acting. She played at theaters in Germany and Austria, e.g. the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Neuköllner Oper and the Tafelhalle Nuremberg. Atina Tabé has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn since the 2014/15 season.
As a singer, she also performs with her own songs in Farsi, German and English.
Her first play FERFERI فرفری – ON ARRIVAL AND STAYING AWAY, in the premiere of which she took part herself in 2021, was nominated for the German Youth Theater Prize 2022 and toured internationally.

A baker of Iranian origin talks coquettishly about her everyday life: getting up at 00:40, elaborately styling her curly hair, lovingly mixing the dough, supplying the neighborhood with the fragrant rolls. One day she has to answer humiliating questions during a naturalization test, another day she narrowly escapes a right-wing extremist attack. The play shows in a gentle yet poignant way how the compulsion to integrate has long since become her reality.
The monologue has a German and a Swiss version.
