Thea Hoffmann-Axthelm (GER)

was born in 1986 and grew up in Berlin and Venice. She has worked as a stage and costume designer at various theaters, including Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Residenztheater Munich, Schauspielhaus Graz, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Latvian National Theater Riga, Volkstheater and Burgtheater Vienna. She has worked closely with Lily Sykes (most recently on stage for MONTAG by Kate Tarker at Staatstheater Karlsruhe) and Alexander Nerlich (currently: ANNA KARENINA at Staatstheater Mainz).

In 2019 and 2023, Thea Hoffmann-Axthelm was nominated as Stage Designer of the Year in the annual survey of “Deutsche Bühne”, in 2014 and 2023 also in “Theater Heute”. Since 2021, she has been a board member of the Scenography Association.
