Ella Hickson (GB)

is a playwright and theatrical director. She was born in England and studied at the University of Edinburgh. Her first play, EIGHT, was produced by Edinburgh University Theatre Company and won a Fringe First Award, the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award, and the NSDF Emerging Artists Award at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her plays have been produced by theaters in England (including the National Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company) and worldwide (including the Public Theater/NYC, Staatstheater Hannover, Berliner Ensemble).

Ella Hickson lives and works in London. She currently teaches at Oxford University.
