is a writer, director and performer.
Born in Massachusetts, he studied Comparative Literature at Brown University and began his theater career in the Chicago theater scene. Seth Bockley’s work includes adaptations of novels by George Saunders (JON), Roberto Bolaño (2666), Washington Irving (RIP VAN WINKLE), and others, as well as his own plays (WILDERNESS ; the musical FEBRUARY HOUSE with music by Gabe Kahane).
His directing credits include contemporary plays by writers such as Ewalds Palmetshofer, Marius von Mayenburg, Lauren Yee and Jason Grote.
Seth lives in Chicago and Minneapolis.

It is 2008 and the US real estate bubble bursts. The Lehman Brothers investment bank announces its own insolvency. What follows is a global financial crisis and the search for the culprits.
British composer Russell Hepplewhite and American librettist Seth Bockley create a blackly humorous farce about a system that enabled a few players to amass wealth at the expense of ordinary people.
